Colorado

According to the 2021 GLSEN School Climate survey, just 43% of U.S. students say they have access to LGBTQ-related library resources at school.

Additionally, only 16% of U.S. students say they were taught positive representations of LGBTQ people, history, or events at school. A collection of texts that positively represent LGBTQ+ characters and historical figures is critical for any school to be an inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students and those with LGBTQ+ family members.

GLSEN partners with OASOS, an office within Boulder County’s Department of Public Health, to satisfy demand among Boulder County schools for Rainbow Library sets.

If you work at a school in Boulder County, you can request a Rainbow Library through OASOS at oasos@bouldercounty.org.
